Anat is also an ancient goddess, and the name is very trendy just now because it is seen as "little answer" (a Biblical male name that is used nowadays on girls).

Ashera / Ashira, apparently, is "rare" and is acceptable because it is seen as a female form of Asher. I don't think it is possible to disagree because it is a fact. I also found it: http://www.hebrewletters.com/item.cfm?itemid=1255

Now maybe the people I know with this name are all wrong even if they know Hebrew or even are Israeli. But I don't think so.
