I put together two welch roots and came up with a name, is it acceptable to use as a name?

Certainly should..
Llunwen would be reasonably acceptable. It would mean something like 'fair idol'.
Ll? there's a post on that below somewhere. Have a look.
Or take the easy way out and just say hl. So Llunwen would be hleenwen. (You did know u = ee in Welsh, didn't you?)
