I think it's an interesting idea. Perhaps you could find a nice hebrew name that fits with your current first name so that people who've known you for years can still call you by the name they know you as, but new friends can call you by your new hebrew name. Speaking from experience, it's rather difficult to get people remeber your new name all the time. Just an idea.

i have thought about that, unfortunately i don't now of anyone who would be able to pronounce the hebrew version of my name. It's Michal. i think it's pretty, but i know i will be called Michael. i have been thinking about this for along time. i can accept family to still call me by my old name. i just don't know what to change it to
