Does anyone know what these names mean??? Or is there anyone familiar with the names? I'm trying to get projects together for my husband and family. I've searched all over the net and no sites seem to have any information on the meanings of these last names ( for free anyways!). I would really appreciate any help from anyone! No idea about Gaona, sorry; Mercurio is the same as the element mercury (Hg), the planet Mercury named after the Roman god Mercury - now, he was the messenger of the gods (and Hg is a liquid metal - it moves around), and also the god of commerce and of theft. Cynical bunch, the Romans ... anyway, words like merchant and merchandise are also related.
