Yeah, but the -i- shouldn't be there. As every schoolboy used to know, it's vinco, vincere, vici, victum, so Vincent is the present participle (vincens) and Victor is from the past participle (victum).
My best guess about Latin origins would be Vinicola = wine-farmer, but I haven't looked it up. And it's been a long time ...
