I think they feel that Tolkien used names like Galadriel, Elrond etc for his definitely non-human characters - not all Elves, but all of 'em good guys - and this created a powerful precedent. So, when they try to invent that kind of magical country, place or people they try to follow his lead.Elvis, indeed - I'm still giggling! Can't you just see that pink Cadillac cruising the leafy lanes of Middle Earth? What a hoot! Thanks for brightening my day.
