I just joined this list today, so this looks like fun. Has anyone ever heard of the name VERLE? I found this on the 1947 Marraige Certificate of my father and his first wife. Verle SODERBERG was born in March 1927 in Iron Mountain, Michigan (Dickinson County). The story goes than the family was Swedish, but claimed Finnish ancestry to avoid being ostracized. I know next to nothing about this woman, and look forward to hearing from anyone with ideas....this name was not in behindthename's data base, either. Thanks, Judy
