Next time, please search for your name on the main page of Behind the Name before you ask here. This board is only for questions regarding names not in the database, or for more information than the database entry already provides.
Also, don't use another person's thread to ask your own name question. It's considered a bit rude, so next time post your own thread about the name you want to ask about.

Yes, it is, actually
Caillou is the name of a French-Canadian series of books which was later turned into a cartoon show. It's about the everyday adventures of 4-year-old Caillou (kie-YOO), who just happens to be completely bald, like a little stone.

Oh, ok. I was talking about real names... Characters often have made up or symbolic names that aren't used irl...

I know a boy named Caillou personally. His parents are from Louisiana. They changed the spelling informally to Callier, because people struggle with the pronunciation of Caillou here (Texas). They intuitively pronounce Callier something similar to the way Caillou sounds in a Louisiana accent.

While surfing the 'net one day, I came across a few sites that gave an explanation for Pebbles's name--other than the obvious pun. Apparently, Wilma's maiden name was at one point Pebbles. Later they changed it permanently to Slaghoople, but they kept Pebbles as the baby's name.
