My name is female, and I suspect of European origin, I have been told in the past that it is French, but I have had no luck so far in confirming that, or even getting the meaning of it.
I would be grateful if anyone can tell me the origin of the name, and the meaning.

Hi I'm french. :)
"Délesté" is the past participle (at the masculine form, the feminine being "délestée") of the verb "délester" that means " to get rid of" or "to off-load"...
