Hi,

We'd like to know the meaning of the name Thorbjörn. We understand it finds its origins from the Norwegian god of strength and thunder Thor. Is there anyone who can tell us more about this name.

"Thorbjorn" is a combination of the names "Thor" ("thunder") and "Bjorn" ("bear") -- so it means either "Thunder-Bear" or "Bear of the God Thor".

Perhaps someone else here may be able to tell you if the name has any specific historic significance.
