LOL
you forgot the Satanists...As an atheist myself (and not American), I found the reaction to this matter as I saw it on TV very surprising.

D'oh!(It didn't actually surprise me, but some reactions on both sides have gotten on my nerves. :\)But what would Satanism say it's under? ::ponder:: One nation under the qualities of rebelliousness, knowledge, pleasure, and scaring people met online? It doesn't really have a ring to it. And there's too much variety anyway for just one pledge per religion/sect/cult. >.<This is too confusing. But at least there've been a lot of interesting editorials lately. ;)

Interesting tidbit of trivia...Originally, the Pledge DIDN'T include the phrase "under God" because the person who wrote it was an agnostic and a socialist (I think that was what was in the various texts I read about him *shrug*)I'm kinda curious about the other pagan religions would place in its 'stead *ponder, ponder* (smell of burning rubber and the like.) Oh, well. *shrug*Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)

yupIt is interesting. :) "Under god" was added sometime around 1952 [I'm bad with dates, let's hope I have the right century] 'cos the US was fighting "godless Communism," according to some articles on the subject. *grin* It'd be interesting to see what every religion would put there, although probably some religions would have different ones amongst them.
