boy names
Does anyone know any information about the rules and conventions behind naming a boy child after his father. At what point should it stop. I have heard that if the Senior is deceased, then there should be no more named.
Help.

You've answered your own question. You don't know "the rule" because there isn't one. In practice, the naming stops when the family name starts sounding inappropriate, for instance, would you name a boy child Reginald or Humphrey, no matter how fond you were of Granddad? But if the old chap was blessed with prescient parents who named him Joshua Michael, then you might well!
I like Humphrey ;)
