-eth ending in girls names
While browsing the most popular names of the last couple of years, I've come across a lot of girls names ending in -th, such as Lizeth, Janeth, Yamileth, Arleth. Is the -eth ending pronounced like the French -ette ending? It seems to me like a Hispanic custom; am I right with this?
Also, a question about the name Yamilet, which I've seen in many variations (Jamilet, Yamilex, Yamilette, Jamilex etc. etc.) Does anyone have any idea on what this name's meaning and origin is, and what the correct pronunciation is? What's up the with -let and -lex endings; do they indicate a different name or just a pronunciation difference?
Thanks for your help, and sorry for the long post!
