Hmmm...Monsy is short for Montserrat, if you click on that hyperlink, you will see that it is a Catalan, female name.
Cataluña, Spain (Cataluña --> Catalan) was invaded by the Moors (Arabs) in 724. That could explain why an Arab could have a Catalan name.
