"Fanny" and "Fayne" are two unrelated names -- "Fanny" being a pet form of the name "Frances". "Fayne" isn't a "unique" spelling of "Fanny" -- it's a legitmate spelling of a name which was in use during the Middle Ages.
While "Fanny" may be a name likely to elicit teasing (being a another word for one's backside or, in Australia, another word for vagina), I fail to see anything wrong with the name "Fayne".
Personally, I think it's a lovely name.
