Laurel crowned- crowned with laurel. Laurel is a plant or herb, also known as Bay. It was the sacred plant of Apollo. Laurel can also mean achievement; a crown of the plant laurel was an honor to the ancient Greeks-- kind of like a gold medal. Therefore, I'm pretty sure "laurel crowned" means one crowned with the plant laurel or one honored for many achievements.
