It's composed of Jiddish and a whole series of European languages. It was an idea for an international language that never really caught on very much, English became the international language mostly.
There's still some weird, mostly formerly hippie sort of folks that speak it and gather at conventions to do so and stuff. Kind of like Star Trek fans that speak Klingon amongst eachother.
