You've got to teach your wife to pay closer attention to the credits that roll at the end of the movie. That character's name wasn't "Aben" -- it was "Ibn". In fact, the complete name of the character played by Antonio Banderas was "Ibn Fahdlan". I dunno what "Fahdlan" means, but I do know that "Ibn" means "son of" in Arabic. It's the equivalent of the word "Ben" in Hebrew.
