I tried finding the meaning of Minason with no luck at all.

I make the assumption the name is not Cambodian, as you would have probably already deciphered it. This leaves me with two speculations:
1. The name means "son of Mina".
2. According to a bible glossary (http://www.geocities.com/Athens/4329/bible/bglossm3.html), "minason" means "remembering" in Hebrew.
