Egor - formerly the form of GEORGI ( Russian for GEORGE ) - nowadays is used independently

And also correction for YURI (or more precise Yuriy) - formerly the form of GEORGI

Please correct me here if I'm wrong, but the "e" in Egor is pronounced (in English) like the "e" in egg or similar to?
