We named our daughter Taise after a local princess, who also gave her name to one of the Glens of Antrim where we live.
"Taise" is the Irish Gaelic for "soft" or (unknown to us pre-Christening!)"damp" and is pronounced "Taysha" by Irish Gaelic speakers: in Antrim it tends to be pronounced "Tays".
