Katie Doyle's site says Siobhan is a feminine form of John derived through the French feminine form Jehanne. Sounds legit.

JOHN (m) English form of Johannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ioannes, itself derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan meaning "YAHWEH is gracious".
