In social studies class, we were reading a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and I noticed that one of the signers was named Button. I don't remember his last name (Gwinnett maybe?), but he was from Georgia. Any info on this name?

No fresh ideas on meaning - Andy's very reliable - but how's this for a coincidence? Here in south Africa there's a clothing designer called Jenni Button!
