Really like it. It's a name I've been thinking about again recently. It's very pretty and sweet.

I like this name but I think that even now it is a little too old-fashioned. I prefer Betony as the alternative. It has a similar sound but is more interesting imo even though it is a word name.

I LOVE this name! And I can't use it! My cousin is named Beth already, so I can't have a Bethany :-( I may use it as a mn though.

hmm... it's not really my style, and plus I know someone who kind of ruins the name for me.

This is one of my absolute favorite names-I think it is beautiful and sweet. I don't think of it as low class at all.

It seems a bit low-class to me, not sure why. I do know someone my age with the name (mid-20's) and she's made me like the name a little bit because I like her. But she said growing up, everyone thought she was saying "Stephanie" instead of "Bethany". LOL

Seems kind of insubstantial and cheerleady to me.

Don't really care for it. I prefer Beth as a nn to Elizabeth. Bethany sounds kind of trashy to me, for some reason.

It's nms but I have nothing against it

It's kinda pretty, but it just doesn't have a whole lot of appeal for me, not really sure why.:)

I think it's pretty, but somewhat popular. If you don't care about having a unique name, then it's fabulous! (As an aside, my friend's sister Bethany goes by "Betsy," kind of a stretch as a nn, but cute.)

I used to love it ... I still think it's very pretty - I've just found names I love even more :-)

My Thoughts....It used to be kewl, but now it is over with and too old-fashioned.

would anyone take the advice of someone who says, "kewl" seriously?dfdfsf

Proper Grammar is the Key to Sucess. :)blah

I certainly don't!

I only do if "kewl" is a parodyLike "OMG Johnny Depp iz SOO HAWT!!!1!!!11!!". Or, more appropriately for here, "kre8iv" for "creative".MirandaEDIT: Minor typo
