well, i am a mary, 22yrs old. i think is old fashioned but i think it has staying power, i dont want to sound conceided but the name mary goes back to biblical times and maybe even farther. i read on some name meanings site, it might have been this one dont remember, and it said that the name couls have evn been used in ancient egyptian times due to a word or two that sounds roughly like mary i forget exactly what the word(s) was but anyway. i think a name that can last that long, just lok at other names from the bible that are still in great use today, joshua, matthew, luke, ect...

oh and a kinda funny thing, i am in a bowling league and the other week i counted how many ppl their were also named mary.. their are 8 marys ranging in age from 22 to 70 something
