I don't care much for Carla but I like Carlotta a lot. I know someone who always pro. the name Charlotte like Carlotta by mistake but they made me start liking the name!

I really don't like the name Carla because it seems dated and plain to me. Carlotta however sounds very exotic. I love it! :)
