Po v. Poe
I know this is really, really silly of me, but the spelling changes the entire feel! I know they still sound the same, but in my mind, when I hear the sound "po" and know it's spelled Poe, it feels right. If I hear it and know that it's spelled Po, it sounds icky and teletubbyish to me. I can't explain it, but my mind automatically fills in the connotations, I think.
