It has character, and you don't see it very much, but everybody knows how to say and spell it. Melinda is a bit softer sounding, but both are nice.Do you know the Ogden Nash poem about Custard the Dragon? She's also in "Rape of the Lock" mby Alexander Pope. I really like that poem, but that Belinda isn't really a good model to me. Overall, I don't really like the name, but I do prefer it to Melinda. The Bel- sound is more appealing than the Mel- sound to me.
