I love the name Atticus. I think that it is definately not common here in the US. I planned on using it one day as a mn, perhaps even a fn. I would also like to say that even though a few years back the name Atticus might have been thought of as an "old person" name or a bit "classic" it has since changed in the past few years, especially in punk, rock, skater, and alternative groups because of the clothing brand Atticus. It gives the name a more punky feel to it, which I love. So, not only can it be classic and sophisticated but cool and current! Love it.
