What are your opinions on the name Sage? Do you like it better for a boy or girl?

I really like it, but boy only in my book.

I love Sage for both genders, but prefer as a MN on a boy, and a FN on a girl. You and I have the same taste in names. Sage goes very well with River (I love his name, it's my future son's name as well).

I don't mind it as a middle name for a girl. Otherwise, I find it a little tacky and insubstantial.

I think Sage is really cute for a boy. I know the cutest little boy with very curly dirty blond hair and big blue eyes with the name so I have a very positive image. I think it would go great as a little brother to your River.

Girl, probably because I knwo a girl named Sage. Sage Santana, and her sister is Jillian

Definitely girl. It's cute as a mn, as a fn it's a little strange.

I agree, it would probably go good as a mn, you could probably stick it in with any fn and it could probably fit really well. Kind of like Lynn or Marie or Rose. Seems like one of those names, except less common!

Not my style at all! Paige is okay for a girl, but I really do not like Sage.

Although the only Sage I've met was a boy, it's more often used for girls, so I would tend to apply it to girls. However, it's uncommon for either sex, so it would probably be OK for either sex.

I love this name-I had a pet named Sage. :) I can see it on a boy or girl but prefer it for a girl. I also like the Saige spelling for a girl.

Dislike this name. Sounds like a video game character. MASTER NINJA SAGE!!! type of thing. But that's just me. I'm not sure which I prefer it on, probably a girl, because then I'd think of the color green. If I hear the name on a boy I might think it sounds old-ish... but I'm not really sure which I prefer.
