Peyton
What do you all think of Peyton for a girl?I generally look at girl names (let's hope I have one) and this name always looked feminine to me, although it is used most as a boy's name. The reason I'd even consider using the "gender misnomer" disaster that people should avoid, is because my boyfriend is obsessed with football and his fav. player is Peyton Manning. However, I wouldn't name my boy Peyton, as I find it too feminine. If anything, I'd name a girl Peyton, and add a very feminine middle name to balance it.WDYT? too far fetched or doable? and if so, what girl's names would you add to Peyton? Not that this matters, I won't be having a child for a while...have to get married first ;-P

I prefer Peyton on a girl

I only like the name for a girl, but sp. Payton. There's something about it that doesn't at all appeal to me for a boy, but for a girl, I think it's cute. I know an adorable little girl named Payton, so perhaps, I'm a little biased :-)Payton Elisabeth is the first combo that comes to mind.

I'm not a huge fan of it on either gender but I'd much rather see it on a boy than on a girl (but I'm not a big fan of unisex names on girls in general). Actually, Peyton is fairly popular where I live and I've seen it on both boys and girls but mostly on boys, actually.

I grew up with a female Paiton (which, btw, is my favorite spelling of the name) so it doesn't phase me to see in on a girl. However, I don't think that Peyton is the most attractive spelling.

Oddly enough, when I worked at a day care and we had a few Peytons/Paytons, all the boys were spelled Payton and all the girls were spelled Peyton. I see it both ways on both genders now, though.

Overall, yes, I can see Peyton on a girl, and when I liked unisex names, I loved Peyton for a girl. Now that I am out of that phase, I only really like it for boy.If you like it, go for it

I actually really like Peyton for a girl. It's not my usual style but I just think it's a cute name. As an aside, I also like this one for a boy-but a bit more for a girl.
