Julie Ingeborg -How do you pronounce it?
Pretty much as it looks--ING-guh-borg. Which is a sound most Americans find quite ugly, I'm sure, but I think it's quite nice. :D It was one of my great-grandmother's names, and she was named for her great-grandmother (I think--can't remember how far back the first
Ingeborg was), who was one of the first to come over to
America from Norway.
As for the rest, there's definitely something.
Julie sounds so retro-fifties to me that it sounds awesome with most all of those! I especially like:
Julie TheodosiaJulie AngelineJulie FleurJulie TamarJulie JaneJulie ZitaJulie MagdalenaJulie Starlight -- So snappy!
Julie ViolettaJulie Sonnet
Julie ZeldaJulie MariaJulie Nightingale -- Also so snappy!
Julie MaudeJulie WillaJulie ClarissaJulie Sunshine -- Again!
Julie MagnoliaJulie Delight -- And again!
Julie OliveJulie Midnight -- And this one. They all just sound so fantastically jazzy to me, and I have no clue why--I wouldn't like Midnight most of the time!
Julie Etta -- Except for the part where it's basically
Giulietta, lol. ;)
Julie PearlJulie PatienceJulie HazelJulie Dove -- Because while
Julie Love is cute,
Julie Dove doesn't make me trip over my L's and keeps the same short snazz.
Julie SuzanneJulie Fern
Thank you, lulu! These're fab. :)

ETA:
Juliet as a nouveau-yuppie name: It might just be my perceptions, but there are certain names that come off to me as being very "Look at me, I'm out of the mainstream, but not really," and
Juliet is one of those that strikes me that way. Along with Lila(h),
Sebastian,
Juliana,
Liliana,
Ava, Annabel(le),
Liam,
Will, etc.
Juliet might not be nearly as popular as those, but it has the same sort of aura to me.
On the other hand, I've always disliked
Juliet, far as I can remember (which is usually about two years, lol--I have a short memory for my opinions ;). So I'm definitely just biased against it.
