Roman Ulysses
I randomly thought of this combo last night, and I really like it. WDYT?
Also, would Rory be a stretch as a NN? I think it'd be good because Roman has the RO- in the front. I don't think Roman necessarily needs a NN, but it kind of hit me at the same time, and I'm fond of it now for some reason.

Unfortunately, my brain went...
"No, Ulysses was Greek."
"No, Ulysses was Greek."
Ulysses is the Latin version of the Greek name Odysseus.
So he was, indeed, Greek...
just, like Romeo, a rose by another name.
It's been a while since I read "the Odyssey" and "O Brother Where Art Thou?" didn't exactly clarify linguistic roots.

That's a *good* one, Cora
Very nice! I am seriously likin it. *admiration turning to coveting*
Hey! Look, what's that over there? *pointing behind Cora*
*steals terrific idea from distracted friend*
Really, I honestly think it's a great combo and I wish I'd thought of it! How many good Ulysses combos are there in the world, after all? Can't waste one when it comes along. Can I adopt him? Please?
:-)

Porcelain was kind enough to share it with me (refer to her reply to me for my "d'oh" moment), so of course I will also share him with you. No distraction necessary. :)
It sounds like a description of a Ulysses from Rome.
What a coincidence. I just put this on my list for what you would name your child if you had one right now. I love this combo, but I don't like Rory - sorry.
Wow, I haven't even read through that thread yet! Sorry.
No worries. Great minds think alike :o)
This combo sounds great. Rory does seem like too much of a stretch though. I prefer Roman without a NN.
