Bold? Uh... why? For an odd name it's pretty good, I'd say. Just make sure there's an ordinary name tucked away somewhere as a backup. I don't see any particular reason to shorten it, either, unless you're trying to preempt Keri or Karen.

If you're not from the southwesterrn US you might not know that one of the pueblos is named Keresan. This doesn't really matter but might affect your thinking.
