Aurora, Beatrix & Colette
aka Three Names on My MindAurora - This had been a favorite of mine that had fallen by the wayside. I'm starting to like it again although I can't quite figure out what made me like it the first time.
Beatrix - I go back and forth between this and Beatrice. I'm currently prefering Beatrix. I'm not really into nns but I like the possibilities of Bea/Bee and Trixie.
Colette - I never cared much for this name but it's been stuck in my head all day and I'm starting to rethink it.WDYT?

I ADORE Beatrix. That is my current favorite girl's name. It's so nice to see it mentioned, and I don't think Beatrice is the same at all.
I do like the nn Bea, which is something you would probably need to embrace if you were going to use Beatrix. I don't like Trixie.(I was just reading about a new movie, "Miss Potter," about the life of Beatrix Potter. Renee Zellweger plays her. I can't wait to see it.)About your other names: I'm not crazy about either of them. A lot of people love Aurora, but I think it's just too awkward. Colette is OK but just nms.

Aurora: Love it
Beatrix: When I see it spelt this way, I think of Beatrix Potter and little bunnies and all her characters. I like Beatrice and love nicknames Bea and Bee but I'm not fond of Trixie.
Colette: I like it a lot! This was a favourite of mine when I was a little girl and all the Colettes I've known were very sweet and friendly girls so I kind of like it because of all the good associations.

Aurora - Has always been a favourite of mine. It was one of the first names I really liked because it was one of the first names whose meaning I new. I think it's very feminine and one of those truly stunning (yet not too frilly) names.Beatrix - Lovely. I lvoe both Beatrice and Beatrix, but I think Beatrix has more spunk. It's both elegant and strong.Colette - It's very sweet, but doesn't strike me as anything exceptionally beautiful. I much prefer the slighlty similar Cosette.

Aurora - absolutely my least favorite name, along with Rowan. I greatly dislike the -ror- sound. Much prefer Aurelia
Beatrix - I definately like it better than Beatrice, and think it's a really cute name. I think Trixie and Bebe are cute nn's.
Colette - Very nice. I'm into the -ette names.

I love the name Aurora, it's my all time favorite. It's a very beautiful name. I'm not a huge fan of either Beatrix or Beatrice, but I think Beatrix is better. Colette is an okkay name, I perfer the name Cosette.

I have a word doc with all the names I love/like/think about, and Colette is one that is on there. I really dont know when it entered, or how, but I see it every now and then, and I always wonder why its there. However, I can never get myself to delete it. There is something about it I do like, I just havent been able to figure it out.Beatrix is okay, I had a friend obsessed with this name from the Trixie Beldon series. Between this and Beatrice, I guess I like Beatrix better, WAY better. And Trixie is really cute (I dont like Bea)Aurora isnt really my style, but it is nice enough, for someone else's kid that is.

I like it, except Aurora. Like the poster below, it reminds me of the Disney princess.Colette is...ehh. I like Nicolette better.

Aurora makes me think of Disney princesses, so I probably wouldn't use it, but the sound isn't unpretty.I love Beatrice (oh, how soft yet strong it sounds!) much more than Beatrix. Bea could still be used, and really, I don't see why Trixie couldn't be, either.I'm not a huge fan of Colette. I don't dislike it, but I wouldn't use it. I knew a snotty year named this in school.
