That portrait is AMAZING. I've seen it before, but it never ceases to please. I agree the name Edna should be better received. Even Eithne hasn't really caught on the way I thought it would.
If I had to guess, I'd say it's the "Ed-" part that puts modern ears off. With renewed interest in Edmund / Edmond, hopefully the "Ed-" embargo will soon be lifted.
I hope I'm around when everyone catches up with your taste. Jeans, Winnies, Elvys, Evenings and Scholasticas are much awaited. :-D
