Naming after grandmothers--who'da thunk it could turn out so badly?
Lila Star and Jessie Somethingelse would both be great, if not really my style. Even Lila Star and Jessie James would be. After all, she's not going to be going by Jessie James Combs all the time (God willing). I don't mind masculine names so much in the middle name slot--I don't think there should be any rules about middle names, really, since they're so rarely used in America.
Christian's really nice.

For me, the fact that James is a masculine name doesn't even bother me in this context. It's that basically their baby daughter's fn and mn make up the fn and ln of a very (in)famous historical figure, who happens to be male also. :-/
