Sasha

This name has really been growing on me lately. I'm beginning to really like it. I don't know any Sashas (I live in the US too), so I don't think there's any popularity issues in the US. Also, this is one of the few nickname names that I don't mind as a given name on its own (though I also like it as a nn for Alexandra).
.Catherine Ann Genevieve.

I like Sasha only as a nickname. As a nickname, it's fine for either gender. Alexander and Alexandra are high on my favorites list, too, so Sasha works for me!
I know a girl named Sasha, and it aggravates me that this is her given name...grrr... Other than that, all the Sashas that I know of are using it as a nickname. (And the vast majority of them are boys.)
DH :-)

I like it but it's a boy's name to me.

I love this name and I have for ages. I would consider using this name in the future myself. It's pretty, it's not common and it's easy to read and spell.
I know the most awful, whorish girl with this name so I suppose it's ruined for me.
That aside, I don't feel like it can stand on it's own. Maybe as a nickname for Alexandra or Alexandria?

I think in the US Sasha is more accepted as a girls' name, even though traditionaly it's more of a masculine name,a short Russian nn for Alexander. So you're covered in that department.
That being said, also in the US it seems Sasha is a popular name for female cats. God only knows why this is, but it's true. A couple years ago we had a cat we called Sasha, a huge tiger-striped female. She was a mean machine, half wild.

I like it a lot, for a girl or a boy. It used to be one of my favorites, but I forgot about it after a while... thanks for reminding me, haha. I think it would be nice.
