Fontaine
I have a (second) niece named Fontaine. At first it was hard to digest. But after meeting her over Thanksgiving, I like it. She lives in the south and is named after her Grandmother.

Since I am French it is a little weird to me (calling a child fountain), but why not if it is a family name...

I think it sounds like it should be the surname of one of the Pink Ladies in Grease. It doesn't have a terrible sound--I'd rather meet a Fontaine than a McKailee--but it's not my style.

It's not my style, but I'd be happier to meet a little Fontaine than yet another Madison or Maddisyn. :b
This is perfectly understandable as a Southern "surname turned female given name". However, I'm afraid that it doesn't sound quite as "preppy" as most such names. Fontaine unfortunately, because of its close relationship by sound to "fountain", its accent on the second syllable, and its strong association as the surname of the actress Joan Fontaine, probably sounds much more "blue collar" than the average such name does.
