You want the Lie-lah pronunciation but I think the other one is as legitimate. So the name might be mispronounced.
I think you would get the right pronunciation always if you spelt it Lilah or Lyla. But then people would misspell it instead. ;)

This is the only way i've ever heard it pronounced, so no, i don't think it would be a problem.

I'm in the U.S., like Shelby, and I've only ever seen Lila pronounced LIE-la, so I don't think it would be an issue. I think Lilah or Lyla would cause more problems with spelling than Lila would with pronunciation.
