Clothilde is nice, but only if you're French. I prefer Clotilda.

All I can think about when I see Clothilde is cloth/clothes/clothing. I also think most people would not know how to pronounce it.

I love it. A natural evolution in style from Matilda / Mathilde. Very classy.

I think it's a very nice name, and a good alternative to something like Mathilde or Mathilda. Clothilde would definitely be worth considering if one is looking for a more unique name for their child today. :)
