I absolutely ADORE Sally. I prefer just plain Sally, but as a nn it's great too. I don't think it's dated. It's one of those "generic girl names" that you really never hear. I've only met one Sally in my life. To me, Sally seems very spunky and determined. I love it. =)

I think it's rather cute, although I don't like Sara(h). I don't think it's dated.

Quite the opposite of being dated, I'd say it borders on being babyish. That said, it's a lovely name, and works really well as a nn for Sarah, although all the Sallys I've known have had it as their full name, or short for Sally-Anne.

I think Sally is an adorable nn for Sarah. I know a woman with a 10 year old dd named Sally. I met a Sally a few years back in her 20's. I can easily see it working for a newborn. Go for it.

I love the name Sally! There's something very spunky and adorable (but not sickenly swee) about it. I like it both as a full name and as a NN. Sara isvery beautiful, too.

Absolutely not! I really like Sally, but I'd consider it as a full name, that's how much I like it.

I think it's wonderful, either as a nn or on its own.Array
