Amy or Aimee
I am adopting my granddaughter, whose mother died while she was giving birth[my daughter]. I know Caroline always liked the name Amy/Aimee. My problem is I don't know which spelling. Which is your favorite?
P.S- I need quick responses, The baby is three days old and still without a name!
P.S.s- Amy/Aimee's middle name will be Caroline, after her mother.

Aimee is is the prettier of the too, and if there are any other Amys around they probably will not have the same spellng of their names.

My niece is Aimee Elisabeth. Both names are spelled the French way. Aimee, however, isn't wild about those spellings because many people (including her grandmother) can't seem to spell Aimee correctly. Aimee went through a phase where she spelled it Amy Elizabeth. My advice is to keep it simple. On the plus side, Aimee and Caroline are French and are very complementary to one another.I'm so sorry for your loss. Caroline is a beautiful name (my dd is Anna Caroline). Amy/Aimee Caroline is lovely.Best wishes.Edited for clarification.

Amy would be my choice. As everyone said it will save a lot of hassle. I love the name Caroline (as it is my name) and Amy Caroline is gorgeous.

Out of all of the spellings of Amy, I like Aime the best. But, to save her and you the trouble, use Amy. Amy Caroline is a nice combo.I'm very sorry for your loss.

Use Amy, it will save her a lot of trouble. I have a good friend named Aimee, and she is ALWAYS having to spell it for people, and they still get it wrong.

I prefer Amy. It's simpler and I think people are more likely to assume that ay-mee is spelled Amy than Aimee. I think Amy Caroline is a lovely combo.
