Marie
What do you think of the name Marie (as a first name)? This name is another one that has been on my favorites list for quite awhile. My favorite Marie combos right now are:
Marie Catherine
Marie Claire (yes I know about the magazine, but I still think that it's a nice combo.)
Marie RoseEdited to add a combo (Marie Catherine).

I think Marie makes a beautiful first name (and middle name). However, it does make me think of my friend's cat.Your combos are nice.

I like Marie as a first name, but I don't think I'd like it on its own. Personally, I'd prefer a hyphenated name like Marie-Caroline, Marie-Elizabeth, Marie-Louise or Marie-Stephanie.

I wanted to mention that I also like Marie-Claire as a hyphenated name (in addition to the two names separately in a combo like I mentioned in my original post).

I like the name, but probably more as a middle name. As a first name I like the combo Marie Jasmine.

To me Marie is more of a middle name then a first name.

I love Marie. It sounds sweet and Southern and retro and sassy all at the same time--and think how many songs you'd be able to sing to her! :)I dislike Marie Claire and Marie Rose both. The former, I dislike because of the magazine (and because I dislike Claire), and the latter is difficult to say because of the placement of the R's.Some Marie combos I really like:Marie Stardust
Marie Denim
Marie Amaryllis
Marie Carmina
Marie Claudette
Marie Cornelia
Marie Desdemona
Marie Elenor(e)
Marie Faustina
Marie Gloria
Marie Hildegarde
Marie Honorah
Marie Ingeborg
Marie Janine
Marie Julanne
Marie Lalena
Marie Livingston
Marie Orphea

Marie is very pretty. It's such a sweet, delicate, sophistocated name. I really like it.Marie Claire is a very nice combo, even with the magazine association. I think Marie Rose is kind of boring and way too conventional, though. It just doesn't have that extra spark that makes a great combo, even though both Marie and Rose are lovely names. Something along the lines of Marie Rosette, Marie Rosamund or Marie Rosa would already be much better, IMO.
