I'd probably go for either names of a similar style or completely individual names. Using the same initials or having both first names start with the same letter wouldn't be out of the question if I really loved the names but similar sounding names and variants on the same name are a complete no-no, to me at least. I reckon twins will have a hard enough time cementing their own individuality without having names that are practically the same. This is what I'd name twins at the moment.

Charles Austin and Alexander Cadoc 'Charlie & Alex'
Aidan Toby and Tristan Andrei 'Aidan & Tristan'
Boy/girl:
Kendall Bevan and Ffion Crystin 'Kenny & Ffi'

Boy/boy:
