Re: Jonas
in reply to a message by Haven
I picture a boy with more strength than he knows he has--but then, I immediately think of The Giver. You know, just today I was thinking of how handsome Jonas Allen would be.I, too, like names that sound like the old. They're strong--they've done things. Trust Bettie before Rylea, if you know what I mean. Because Bettie sounds like she struggled to become a nurse and married her sailor after waiting for him at sea, but Rylea had everything handed to her on a silver platter while riding around in her mother's overly-large SUV. And Bettie's probably a lot more fun to talk with, while we're at it. ;)On the other hand, I like names that haven't really been used for anyone lately, old or young, but that's because of the character that comes along with the name. It's the same sort of idea, I think, except they're not necessarily old--they're just interesting, strong, and not the flavour of the month.Array
