If you're not of Levi descent, it's pretty disrespectful. Same for Cohen.

Ah, I didn't know. I've known a lot of people named Levi (I've even known a man named Leviticus who used it as a nn) and of course with it being the name of brand of jeans, I had no idea that it was disrespectful to some people.
