1. Sorry, but I really dislike Brooks as a name for either gender. It's just so distinctly a surname that it's way too impersonal to be a first name, IMO. Also, I really don't like the sound or look of it. It's so harsh and unattractive. I guess it would be an OK nn for Brooke - though I immensely dislike the name Brooke, too - but I think it would be best to leave it for the Brooks family to cherish and pass down.2. Cozy would be plain silly as a full name, but I wouldn't mind it as a NN because I think nicknames can be just anything since they're not official. I don't particularly like it even as a mere NN, though.Cozy could be a NN for...Cosette
Cosima
Cosma
Jocosa
Crocetta
Consuela
Constantina
Concepta
ConcettaI like these names from the BAs:Cedric Elijah
Gerald Smith
Zahara Danielle Lea - Zahara is becoming a guilty pleasure of mine because I'm currently obsessed with everything related to Sahara.
Ernest Lee - there's something very adorably old-fashioned, retro-chic about this combo.
Ingrid Coral
Cruz Alejandro - would sound so much better the other way around, as Alejandro Cruz
Cornelius
Genesis

How weird, I was just thinking of the nn Coz for Cozumel (I like it as a name for a boy; it's a place in Mexico). I like Cozy as a nn for Cozumel too, but I also like it for a girl. I can't think of any full girl's names though. I think Brooks is cool. I wouldn't use it, but I'd like it if I saw it on another girl. Boys:
Elijah
Cruz
Cornelius Girls: (asterisks on the ones that I've coincidentally been thinking about lately)
India*
Halo - it's cute!

1. Brooks is really a boy's name.
2. Cosette could have the nn Cozy (which could be really cute). The only comments I'll make on the names is that it is nice to see such old-fashioned names like Gerald and Ernest. Zahara is pretty, but Goddess is idiotic.

I like Brooks for a boy, but dislike it on a girl.2. WDYT of Cozy as a NN for a girl? Any names that could have the nn Cozy?
I know a woman named Cozy. Her real name is Marceaux (a family name). I think it's kind of a fun nn, although it could definitely be grounds for teasing. It might be short for Cosette, Colette, Coleen, Columba, Constance, Nicole, Nicola, Nicolette.3. I need a first name for Mae. Mae is after my grandmother's first name, and my sister's middle name.
Mae is one of those names that works well as a mn with just about any fn. I like it with longer names (Alexandra Mae, Georgina Mae, Susanna Mae), but really it could work with almost anything. For a more country feel you could used a nn-ish name with Mae (Sally Mae, Katie Mae, Becky Mae). I think the only names Mae doesn't sound good with are one syllable names.4. I need a middle name for Sierra, a girl.Sierra Rose
Sierra Mae
Sierra Gail
Sierra Faye
Sierra Sky (too nature-y?)
Sierra Maeve
Sierra LaneI think I like Sierra with a single syllable mn best.
.Catherine Ann Genevieve.
