Lauren is too 90s trendy with the classic Alexandra. You'd find Alexandras of any age, but around here you'd be hard pressed to find many Laurens over the age of about twelve (apart from me, of course, which is just horrible, because everyone always thinks my name is Laura, as they find it so hard to picture a 20 year old Lauren. I have two friends, from separate areas of the country, who both swear ha before they came to university and met me, they'd never known anyone named Lauren before.)
Anyway, off-topic rant over, I think Louise or Laura sound much nicer with Alexandra!

I prefer the spelling Loren myself. I like it better than Laura.
I also like Lorelei.

Lauren's a fine name, however, I much prefer Laura and think it complements the equally timeless Alexandra.

I like Lauren, although in my area it has been super popular for a long time and is almost as common as Megan.
My name is Laurie. I think Laurie sounds dated, and Lauren is on it's way to sounding dated. I will always prefer the classic Laura.

I like the name Lauren, and I think it goes well with Alexandra. I don't think it's the best sister set, but it certainly isn't bad. I just think of Lauren as more 80s trendy, while Alexandra is more of a timeless classic. They're both very nice names, though!

It goes good with Alexandra, but I don't really like Lauren. I love Alexandra though. Lauren seems 80ish to me, and goes in the same group with Nicole, Melissa, Jennifer, Stacy, Ashlee, Megan, etc. Photobucket - Video and Image HostingLoving the names Alexa Noelle and Owen Seth
