Re: Texas BA's Part 3
GIRLS
Stevie - Way too masculine, and unless the parents are huge Stevie Nicks fans (or even know who she is) it just doesn't work, imo
Willow - This is a guilty pleasure for me but I only like it b/c of the character from "Buffy". :b I'd never use it because 1) I think it could cause teasing ('willy' & 'pussy willow' come to mind), and 2) my best friend had a kitten named Willow who recently passed away. :(
Winter - Another guilty pleasure. But odd because this baby was probably born smack in the middle of SUMMER. :-/
Rylyn - Horrible
Lyric - GP
Radiance - ridiculous
Bibiana - nms, but not awful
Ashanti - nms
Charisma - gp
True - gp
McKaylin - horrible
Rose - wonderful, glad to see it as a fn
Americus - silly (Maybe they saw/read "Where the Heart Is" one too many times :b)
Tatelyn - ridiculous
Rayne - Looks masculine and surname-y this way (Rain is a gp, though)
Knyce - Ugh, hope her brother isn't Knautty
Amazia - the mn isn't Grace is it?? :(
Celestyne - Celeste + Tyne? Looks trendy, but may not be bad (as long as it's not just a kree8tiv spelling of Celestine)
Paisley - Ugly pattern, tacky name
Montana - a bit of a gp, but makes me think of a pothead for some reason
Autumn - I've always disliked this name but mainly due to negative personal associations
Jazlyn - nmsaa
Galilea - no
Devonaire - ACK!!
Paris - Bad namesake
Heaven - ridiculous
Ariel - male name
Abcde - *rolls eyes*
Summer - nms
Zinnia - loving this recently
Cadence - silly
Starlett - NO. This is Star Jones real fn, I think.
London - no
Precious - NO
Bellacenia - Huh?
Desire - No
Charli - ONly as a nn
Cherie - Leave it in the 70s, please
Diamond - no
Bronte - I like the Bronte sisters, too, but this is NOT attractive, imo.
Chasity - This always looked silly to me. A misspelled and mispronounced word name? Does she have a sister named Desiny?
Karma - Not horrible but not something I'd choose
Cheyenne - tacky
Italy - no
Tynnyson - NO!
Jenasis - oy
Mahogany - Wood. That's all I have to say.
Patience - I like it but preferably as a mn. But I'd never use it because I think it's just asking for trouble. :b BOYS
Indye - A kree8tiv spelling of Indy or did they stick something "in dye"?
Sir'Dustin - Is the "Sir" really necessary?
Brittan - misspelled place name?
Hunter - nms but one of the better ones here (sad to say)
Phoenix - see Hunter
Memphis - no
Kington - no
August - Love it
Angel Valentine - ewwww, cheesy combo
Messiah - *rolls eyes*
Cannon - I knew a little boy with this name and he was very cute. But I still think it's a bit silly.
Constantin - ok
Brooklyn - hate it, though I'd rather see it on a boy than a girl
Jerkoby - Oh good grief, just name him Kick Me, why don't you
Kach - I REALLY hope this doesn't rhyme with Mach
Holton - too surnamey
DallasAvery - I love seeing Avery on a boy but not with Dallas stuck to it
Merrick - nms but not horrible
Major - dumb
Rio - nms
Dakota - nms
Lissac - ?
Orion - Too spacey for me (and now, thanks to a post here recently, I only see "onion" when I see this name now :-/)ETA: BTW, where do you find these crazy names? And why only fn's?
